Beauty is all around us, as we live our lives we witness beauty everyday. What if we could capture beauty? Or even hold time in our hands? That is what photographers do; they express beauty by a click of their camera. Photography is a very unique form of art, because you will never be able to recapture the picture in the exact same way that it was originally taken. Photography doesn’t necessarily need to be a career path. It can also be considered a hobby, just like it is to me. Even though photography is relatively new for me, I enjoy it. I sometimes feel like I can express my feelings through a picture. Nature and Wildlife is what I like best. I choose to also work with 100% digital, I believe that the future of photography is digitally. The possibilities of digital photography are endless. It’s incredible how I can stop time by a simple snapshot. Some of my pictures must be taken in such a way, that I can be able to astonish people by the beauty in which we all take for granted. I used to think a picture is a picture, but now with the right angle and the right lighting, the picture is no longer a picture it’s a work of art. I feel like my job is to be able to capture the beauty that surrounds us. When I step out into my backyard, I feel like I’m stepping out into a different world, a world in which nature surrounds me. In a world where I am the only human, in which of coarse holds a camera and my job is to admire and discover the reality and beauty of my backyard. I have witnessed many marvelous things. I distinctly remember one day when I stepped out into my world of nature and saw a heron at the end of the creek engulfing a fish it had just obtained. As I looked onto the horizon, the sun was setting, the colors were undescribable. The world we know looks so special when captured in a camera; we can now see things from a different prospective. Photography is a lot like love, when you look so hard to find it, it doesn’t exist. At the time that you least expect it, it finds you, and it’s the most beautiful thing you ever experience. In the process of taking a photograph, the most unexpected pictures turn out to be the never forgotten memories. Some see photography as a money making industry. Some people see photography as a hobby. I, on the other hand, use photography as my escape. Whether I’m having problems with my family or personal life, there is something about capturing nature in its greatest essence that relieves me from my troubles. There are so many meanings behind one simple photograph. Aside from our recollection, photographs are the only way we may relive our memories. As the age of technology becomes more developed, everything in our everyday lives begins to change. No matter how much our technology changes and our cameras become more advanced, the art of photography will always be viewed in the same way.
